I'll Be Loving You Forever

So tomorrow was going to be one of the best nights of my life. Sadly it is no longer going to happen but at least 2 of my besties will be enjoying it for me. If it is meant to be (please, dear lord) then they will have another reunion...or extend the tour...or show up on my doorstep.

What am I rambling about? 5 words. 5 guys. New Kids on the Block. Tomorrow night...Atlanta...I am suicidal about missing it. I recorded the Behind the Music stuff on VH1 and can't bring myself to even watch it. Maybe I'll just save it on my DVR until Febuary...like on Valentines day because I'll already be depressed enough! Might as well get it all over with in one night!

Luckily Lynds & J are going to go so I know they will take lots of pics and scream and sing along for me. I doubt they will pee their pants as I probably would have done, but then, I'm a little more excitable than they are :)

My friend Brittany was bored at work this morning and sent me an email of 13 things she wanted RIGHT.THIS.SECOND.

So here's mine...

Things I want right this second:

1. To be out of debt
2. To be in love
3. To be cuddling in bed with said love
4. To be at home with a book while it continues to rain all day
5. Tony Lucca singing to me live
6. To be 80lbs thinner
7. To have Lyndsey and Adam live up here
8. To snuggle with Daizy and Dansby
9. To not have accidently deleted Grey's Anatomy from my DVR last night, thus having to wait until I can watch it on abc.com
10. To be able to spend unlimited amounts of money on music and movies
11. To go to Hollywood and hang out for more than 17 hours
12. To go on tour with my boys

And another thing!

Can we just talk about how the Dancing with the Stars judges are SO tough on Lance & Lacey? It's getting ridculous and pissing me off! They are so rude to them. Especially last night they said Lance didn't dance enough! I've seen PLENTY of dances when the "star" is the male and he can just stand there and twirl a girl and the judges fall all over it (coughmauricegreencough). I'm about to stop watching. I will if Lance gets voted out anytime soon. Also...is it necessary to be an HOUR and a HALF long? For crying out loud...

All Quiet on the Southeastern Front

So I' haven't blogged in a few days, but I'm sure none of you noticed :) When I first started this blog, I figured I would have a lot to say...but apparently I don't...or at least haven't had time lately!

My work schedule last week was MUCH less demanding. I'm down to 20 hours at job 2 which is WAY more acceptable than 50 :) But I did get my first paycheck from them yesterday, so I'm a happy camper. Also, they are pretty much just scheduling me Thursday-Sunday. Which is great, cause that means they think I'm a strong hostess, and great because thats when we make all our money! (Hostess' get 1% tip out, which is my spending money).

The new branch (job 1) is a GREAT fit. I'm so much happier being away from my old manager! I didn't realize what a difference it would make.

So, I have tonight off, and I've decided to go to Yoga with a co-worker. He has been RAVING about it, and I thought...why not? I'm sure I will be super sore tomorrow, but hopefully I will be able to walk :) I'll let y'all know how it goes.

So ex-fiance (story for another day) randomly called me on Saturday. Haven't talked to him in awhile...luckily it wasn't a very long convo because I was on the way into work. It was odd though. He was definitley the love of my life...so far...

Don't care

And if you care about Madonna, which I do not, she is officially getting divorced.

YES!

Okay, so you might need to know that I live vicariously through celebrities and think they are my friends.

So when I find out that BRAD PAISLEY and his wife Kim are preggers again, I get UNCONTROLLABLY EXCITED :)

She is due in April. I hope they name this one something better than Huck.

Do You Want to Play a Game?

Wow, Ladies. WOW!

So I watched Saw last night and was prepared to be jumping and screaming. I did make a noise once, but all in all it wasn't that bad. There was a little gore, but nothing untolerable. It was really more of a mystery movie...kind of like Seven. I LOVED IT. The minute it was over my first thought was I wished I had Saw 2-5. Which I will be renting at Blockbuster very soon.

Also, today is my last day at this branch before moving to the branch down the street (with my raise, whoop whoop). I know I'm only going to be a mile away but it's still kind of sad. I love my co-workers and they have really become my family up here. I've only been here since March, so it feels like everything is happening so fast...I know its great though, but still. I am very excited to see what the future holds for me.

Speaking of the future, my new favorite song "One Step at a Time" by Jordin Sparks (i'm 99% sure) is AWESOME. My fav part is "it's gonna happen, when it suppposed to happen and we find the reasons why, one step at a time". Love Love LOVE.

My other favorite song that is completely unrelated is "Love Story" by Taylor Swift. It is so sweet and I love the melody. And I'm a hopeless romantic so it gives me hope that HE is somewhere out there! (Also, the video is awesome and includes Ms. Miley Cyrus' new boy to...who is 20!). So Hott.

Also, when does Pink's new album come out? Because I freaking love every song she's ever done.

Wow, when I started this post I had no idea it would include talking about Pink. I love blogs.

Whew

How much do I LOVE Christopher Columbus!! Because of him, I had the day off at the bank yesterday, and FINALLY had a day off from Crow's Nest. I went grocery shopping, took a nap on the couch and caught up on everything on my DVR. It was such a relaxing day...the first one I've had in awhile...very much needed.

Also had a convo with a on again off again guy from GA. He said that ours was the most complicated non-relationship relationship he's ever had. I thought that was hilarious and spot on...non relationship relationship.

And I only had to come to the bank for like 2 hours today (working on Saturday so getting rid of overtime) so I'm off to go back home and put on my pjs for the rest of the night :) I'm also going to watch "Saw" while it's still daylight outside...that way I won't get as scared! :) Shut up, you know it makes sense.

Hope everyone has a great day! More to report tomorrow!!

Thanks a lot Misty May

YOU ARE A JERK. How dare you take Maks away from us? I have never liked you in the past, and just when I'm starting to sort of root for you, you go and pull a stunt like this.

See if I EVER watch another volleyball tourney ever. again.

Just kidding. Kind of. Feel better soon.

WTF?

I was talking to my co-worker before she left today and I was going to make a joke about how my feet feel huge and swollen because it felt funny when I flexed them. She and I looked down at them at the same time and she GASPED. It looks like someone chopped off an 800lb womans feet and put them on mine. It is gross...they are HUGE! Like 3 times their normal size. And I am FREAKING OUT. They have never looked like this before. Not even with 5 years of marching band and a summer at Burger King! I can only assume its from standing around on the hard floor at Job 2. I've been trying to keep walking and moving, but I guess that wasn't enough.

I of course called my mom and she just told me to elevate them. But it stinks because I have to go to work tonight for another 5 hours and stand around...i'm a little concerned that they will get even bigger! (if that's possible).

I was going to post a pic, but that would be gross.

I have a new found pity for pregnant women.

Moving on up....slightly

Thanks to those of you who commented on my last post with all the lucky wishes!! It's so nice to know that people are behind you...even if you've never met them :)

So here's what happened.

As some of you might know, I work at a bank. I'm in customer service, so I'm one of those nice little people that sets up your checking accounts, refunds your fees, and helps you with problems. What most people don't know is that it is actually a sales position. I make commission on opening different accounts, doing loans, etc. So, basically, I'm going to toot my own horn quickly and say that I make the most commission out of the other 3 FSRs (financial service representative)that I work with. Well there is another branch with my same bank down the street that just lost an FSR. Their ONLY FSR. So my manger's boss has to fill that position and he thought of me! Which is pretty cool cause uppermanagement is recognizing me and I've only been here since March! ANYWAY to make a long story short, I will be moving to a branch that is less than a mile away from where I currently work. So I will still see all of my current co-workers a lot, which makes it a lot easier. And I will be able to get away from my current manager who i'm not the biggest fan of!

So yay. That's my happy news of the day. Hope y'alls day was great too!

Um, holy crap

So my manager just said that HIS manager is on the way in to talk to me. But that its about something good. Which is still unnerving that I have no clue whats going on.

(start mini-panic attack now)

Details to follow.

Friends Forever

So staying with my Saved by the Bell theme today...remember Zack Attack? God, what a great episode!

But I digress...as usual!

This post is for my dear friend that I miss SO much. Some of you may ask, well then why in the hell did you move 4 hours away? Good question. I'm still asking myself that! The weekend that she and her hubby (my big brother) and her other bff and her hubby came up to Nashville was definitley the best weekend I've had since moving here :) (And you left a Red Bull that is patiently waiting in my fridge for your return). She is so sweet, honest (do these jeans make my butt look big?), HILARIOUS, and kind. I love that when she likes something, she becomes SO passionate about it! Whether it be the new fall line, animals in trouble, or a new tv show. I think that's why we get along so well. We are passionate about different things, but we both have that sort of obsessive personality (food, tv, clothes, and celebrities!). Well I guess we are passionate about MOSTLY the same things :)

I love her dearly and as I blubbered at her rehursal dinner, she has become the older sister I never had. She taught me all about clothes (still a work in progress), she has given me tons of relationship advice, and how to do what I want and not care what others think. I think being around her gave me a better sense of maturity too.

Basically I just love this chick and I thank God every single day that she is in my life.

Thank goodness we have the blogs to stay updated everyday!

Saved by the Bell...or Text

So I missed my cell phone alarm (all 5 of them) and my actual alarm clock this morning. Woke up to a text from my manager saying he would be late...right back at ya buddy! I woke up at 8 which is the time I am supposed to be at work. Don't you just love starting off mornings like that?

Also, Lynds posted a precious post on her furry children, Daizy and Dansby. I miss living with them so much. I was not an animal person at all growing up. We had a poodle that I just HAD to have when I was 6, but I was so jealous of it. My mom would have Priscilla (oh yeah) in her lap and I would put the poor poodle on the floor and climb up myself. Plus we could never get that girl house broken. Needless to say, I stuck with fish all through my years :) But living with Daizy and Dansby was such a treat. They are the 2 sweetest doggies you have ever seen! Not to mention smart!! The things that Dansby can do still amazes me. Mostly in part to his great trainer ;)

So now this morning I'm feeling homesick for the pups. Hopefully I can work out a way to see them this weekend too!

PS

Did I mention the resturant has a staircase? My legs are going to ROCK. That and living in a 3rd floor apartment.

I have to lose weight for my friend Bevs wedding....50 days left...

Monday, Monday

Have I mentioned yet how much I LOVE the Mama's & Papas? For real...I've seen their PBS documentary a million times...mostly because I bought it on DVD. Yeah...I'm that girl.

Anyway, just wanted to start of the week by saying how much I LOVE my new 2nd job!! The resturant just opened on Saturday night and we had a BLAST. I already love all of my co-workers! (i know, give it time, right?). But so far its wonderful. Everyone pulls their own weight. I already feel close with several of them and we've only been open 2 days! Plus, they actually like and respect me there. At the other resturant I was at, they made me feel like I was stupid and crazy...when in fact I was the only normal person there! I actually looked forward to going to work yesterday!!

This week is going to be crazy though. We still don't have enough hostesses so this week I will be working at the bank from 8-4:30 everyday and then going to job 2 at 4:45-midnight every night this week!! Whew!

Also, this weekend I'm going back to GA to visit the family and go to a swanky anniversary party for some close family friends. Hopefully I'm going to be able to squeeze in a visit with my BFF Lynds (Fluffy, Fashionable, and Famous).

When in the world am I going to watch everything that will accumulate on my DVR? :)

Hardy har har

So we saw Hal Sparks last night. It was non-stop laughter! I was right at the stage and at one point, during an impression he stuck his crotch in my face! Hell yes! :) Then we got to meet him after the show and he was so sweet! I love him even more now! If he's coming somewhere near your town, you should definitely check him out :)

And yes, I know I look like a giant tool. Don't care. Love him.

Hells Yeah!

My friend Tiffy's Birthday was yesterday and tonight to celebrate we are going to see Hal Sparks at a comedy club! I am super excited, because I love to laugh!!

He is on all those VH1 I love the decade shows. He just comes on the screen and I literally start laughing before I even hear what he has to say!

Maybe if I sit in the front row he will make fun of me. That would be AWESOME.

We might get to meet him! *fingers crossed*

Coffee Talk- Southern' Style

Okay, the following is a story that took place at the bank where I work in Nashville about a month ago. It was one of the funniest moments of my life and I will try to make that translate in this story. It may end up being one of those "guess you had to be there" moments. Here goes.

I'm sitting at my desk and I see 2 elderly women walking in the door. One has a cane, the other a walker. They also have with them a home care nurse. I immediately said "great" under my breath, certain they were going to be extremely difficult to work with. I greeted them and they came over to my desk. I will be calling them Ethel and Maude. It is to be noted that both had hearing aids in BOTH ears and everything was said at a volume of 140 decibals (a plane taking off). Also, Ethel had some serious dentures and everything had a sh sound at the end of it. They both also had the old time southern belle drawls.

SSB: How can I help you today?
Maude at the TOP OF HER LUNGS: HOW ARE YOU? Ethel, get your stuff out!
Ethel: I FORGOT MY GLASSHES.
Maude: What?
Ethel: I LEFT MY GLASSHES at HOME.
Maude: Well where did you leave them?
Ethel: I left my glasshes at home. Oh no wait here they are!

This continued for a few more minutes until they were both settled, glasses on, and hearing aids turned up. I helped them with some account information and balances while they continued to talk to me and each other at full volume. Ethel then started talking (read: yelling) to me about her schtate taxches (state taxes). She asked Maude about the check she writes for the schtate taxches and Maude told her it was Federal. Ethel continued to talk over her and Maude had to repeat herself at least 5 times. She was basically just shouting FEDERAL over and over again.

Now, I'm not sure if this sounds funny to you, but we were all dying. We see a lot of funny things at our bank, but this is the first time that I've had co-workers pull out their cell phones and record audio. My manager was also emailing me with his concern that one of their dentures was going to shoot out and give me a concussion. I couldn't look at anyone and was seriously having to bit my lower lip the entire time.

After about 20 minutes they were ready to leave, which took about 5 minutes to move them 10 feet to the door. The nurse was helping them and looked over at me and smiled. I really wanted to ask her how she is around that all day and doesn't die from laughter.

As soon as they left we all were rolling on the floor and tears were streaming down my face. It was one of the funniest things I had ever seen and I still wish to this day I had the entire thing on video. It was truly like something you would see on Saturday Night Live.

I hope the humor translated. I wish each and everyone of you could have seen it with your own eyes. Your life would be changed forever :)

Press 1

I am SO stinking sick of having to press 1 for English. SERIOUSLY? We are in the United States of America. That is freaking ridiculous! I understand having an option to press 7 for Spanish...I'm fine with that. But I don't think I should have to push an extra button to hear options in the official language of my country.

Here in Nashville (Davidson County) there was actually a petition from some politicians to make SPANISH the offical language of Davidson County.

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! I know this probably pisses most of y'all off to, but I just had to get on my soap box for a minute!

Funny story to follow. :)
